The Scythe-Wielding Pegasusby =FallenZephyr

I caved. I told myself I wouldn't make one, but it's too late now XD

I started an ask blog on Tumblr, featuring my OC Fallen Scythe! There's only a single entry right now, but please take a look! Feel free to submit a question there c:

This is the image for the first post, without any of the speech bubbles and text. I tried something different from my usual colouring style, which is to bascially do lineart and block in colour, then just shade all over. THIS TIME I actually tried the shading first with values in just black and white, then went over everything with gradient maps. It's a lot easier to edit stuff and change colours! I'm quite happy with the result.

I'm not sure if I can colour this way for every post because of time restraints, but I shall see!

very nice. it's simple but well coloured and the highlights sho off the nice shape of the body and the glasses are cute! though how they stay up with out being hooked onto the ears is a mystrey

still I love your lighting and shading it's so smooth!

Thank you! I need to find a way to colour this way more quickly because it's taking a bit too long for my liking.

I'm going to answer that question you submitted to my ask blog sometime, but I need to get some story elements down first before I start answering the more random questions. I find that characters with good backstories make more sense to everyone when there are random questions being answered. Then you kinda know why that character made that choice without having to ask again.

I enjoy reading a back story to interesting characters and you have a very nice one. darkstar doesn't have much of an interesting history

she is just a odd looking pony who was teased. but what the future holds now that's more interesting. ideas are what I do best

also good luck on finding fast ways to colour. good things come to those who wait and are not impatient like me

Thank you! She's not really a grim reaper (because that would be WAAYYY too OP for an OC, let alone a little pegasus like her) but that's about as close to one as you're gonna get!
