I am the bringer of the light,
Returning the stars to their daylight slumber;
With crimson wings I paint the sky, shades of
Reds, yellows, oranges, pinks-
Extinguishing the night's dark sweeping cloak.
I bring out the sun to dance upon my azure ceiling,
Tucking the moon away;
It favours the cover of darkness
In which the sun does not belong.
As those below awaken from sleep,
I guide the rising souls
When the sun rises.
A complementary piece to
More experimentation with some new watercolour pencils on watercolour paper! My scanner made the contrast of the painting a bit too harsh for my liking, but I did the best I could in bringing out the colours with some Photoshop tweaking. I'm really glad the yellows and reds weren't destroyed, those are usually pretty difficult to scan without some issues.
Again, I drew Vulcan in a different style similar to Fallen to fit the transparency qualities of watercolours. It's very flowy and colour change is gradual, with some sharp contrasts between red and yellow.
