In the Eyes of a SoldierIn the eyes of a soldier
The living shoot the dead;
He stands there, watching,
Within the fields stained red.

The cries of his comrades
And enemies alike,
Echo with pain
Between every strike.

All fight for their country,
Their family, their friends,
But not all return home safe,
In war, they've met their ends.

An injured soldier crawls,
Calling out for any aid,
The enemy looks down
With sympathy, and sight that gave.

His legs were blown off,
Strength failing fast,
Struggling to live, but with his
Heart beating once, twice, then last.

The soldier kneels down,
Presses his hands to his head,
And prays for the man

30 Day MLP Challenge, Day 20 & 21: Lyra and Bon Bon

This is a challenge I designed for myself in which over the next 30 days (hopefully) I'll be drawing one random character from MLP:FiM each day.

Important notice: Seeing as I clearly can't keep up the pace with one drawing a day for this challenge, it's not really considered a 30 day challenge anymore XD However, I will continue to contribute to the "challenge" until I reach the 30th drawing, but at my own pace. Life is busy :I

Guess who the randomizer gave me? Lyra! And then for kicks, I wanted to see who would show up next... and it was Bon Bon! Super incredibly mild shipping pic with Lyra and Bon Bon sharing a single scarf whoop whoop

I decided to try out a new triangle shaped brush on their manes and I really like the variation the brush gives me; it doesn't look as static or softly shaded as my other digital pics, but hair is supposed to be stringy and sharply shaded.

This would make a really nice header for a journal or a website, I think. UBUBUBUBUBUU
