This is what I imagine ~WaywardTrail (as a Smeargle) and ~InkedBananas (as a Luxray) would act like if they were Pokemon, and this is the result. HILARITY ENSUES
I recently downloaded Paint Tool Sai because I was curious to see what the big hype was all about. Let me tell you, colouring in this program is WAY easier than in Photoshop. It's user-friendly (unlike Photoshop, which is a bitch to learn) and has a lot of useful blending tools that I really enjoyed using. However, it is missing some of the things that I do like about Photoshop, such as the many sharpening filters, levels, and numerous other tools that I still use. I also find that sketching and creating line art is easier in Photoshop for some reason, even though I know Sai has something called a Stabilizer (which slows down your stroke speed and allows you to create smoother lines). Even without the stabilizer, my lineart is quite crisp and I'll continue to do so with Photoshop.
Anyway, this is the first thing I've drawn in Sai using a semi-lineless style where I blocked in base colours first and drew lineart overtop. I tested out some of the brushes and even downloaded a square brush to use! I'm pretty happy with what I can do with Sai so far, and hopefully I can use both Sai and Photoshop in tandem to create simply awesome artwork.
...I hope you guys don't mind that I drew your favourite Pokemon to test out Sai! It was too good of an idea to pass up XD

Wow, i can really see the difference between the two. It's look is hard to describe. I want to say more natural but it doesn't quite feel like the right way to put it.
The image is hilarious though and I love your Luxray
