I am the bringer of the night,
Rousing the stars from their daylight slumber;
With ebony wings I paint the sky, shades of
Blues, purples, greys, blacks-
Erasing the hues of day's verdant lamp.
I bring out the moon to play within my inky canvas,
Shooing the sun away;
It fears the darkness
In which the moon thrives.
As those below lay their heads to sleep,
I guide the rising dreams
When night falls.
Experimenting with some new watercolour pencils on watercolour paper! I like the result; I'm really itching to try some reds and oranges and see how that turns out. My scanner sort of killed the beautiful subtle purples and blues in this pic, but I did the best I could correcting it in Photoshop.
Fallen in her dragon form, I've found, can be very versatile and portrayed in many different abstracts. I enjoy manipulating her wings and her mane in particular because they can be so many things and still look awesome!
This is a complementary piece to Fallen
