Happy Holidays: Anzu's Emeraldsby =FallenZephyr

Whew, third Christmas card complete! Out of the three I've done so far, this one took the longest because I was being too ambitious and decided emeralds were totally the best thing to draw on a card. Haha... no it wasn't. This one's going out to my German pen pal, Johannes

This card features Anzu, my Bronze Tinsel that I won from a Christmas Tree decorating contest on Dragon Cave. If you aren't familiar with Dragon Cave, go check it out! It's more of a collecting-type of game with dragons and it's quite fun once you see how many different species there are to collect!

I elaborated on the original design of the Bronze Tinsel and gave Anzu longer, fuller wings (not to mention more anatomically correct) along with some scales. I really like how the "glow" of the emeralds turned out since I wanted the big huge crystals to look like they were glowing. I don't think I'm going to draw more crystals anytime soon though; I really made my life difficult drawing so many in the first place.

Really nice drawing! The details on the emeralds is quite good and the dragon looks quite smug on them.

Yes, the site is called Dragon Cave; it's free to join and it's quite casual most times (unless you're trying to hunt for certain eggs during new releases... then it's a different story).
