30 Day MLP Challenge, Day 8: Vinyl Scratch

This is a challenge I designed for myself in which over the next 30 days (hopefully) I'll be drawing one random character from MLP:FiM each day.


A new challenger appeared! Vinyl challenges you to a DDR dance off!

You're probably thinking wtf is Vinyl doing playing DDR but it gets so boring seeing her with her turntable and her DJ stuff all the time. It's time to mix it up a bit, you know? (No pun intended.)

I spent waaaayyyy too long on this one, but damn this was fun to draw. I got to practice some masking layers in Photoshop and some different lighting effects!

Also, I probably won't be able to draw any ponies until Monday because I'm working the entire upcoming weekend... and I also have a quickly approaching commission deadline (which I've been neglecting whoops) so I should get going on that.

I imagine it would be difficult to coordinate their feet still, so I guess it's not cheating if both players are ponies!

Thank you very much! I used to play DDR when I was younger, there aren't too many machines around these day other than in asian malls and in arcades.

mlp+ddr= AMAZING
(a request for something like this, pinkie and twilight in the arcade, pinkie is on heavy mode doing awesome, but twilight next to her is on beginners mode but is still doing aweful. MAKE. THIS. HAPPEN!!!!! that is...um.....if you wouldnt mind....)
